Glazed Smoke Screens

The glass used in the smoke control screen is a 6mm or 10mm thick glass screen. The glass has been developed for Fire Resistance (as defined in BS. 7346: Part 20 et seq) applications in varying thickness and pane size for in excess of half hour compliance with integrity. Significant pane sizes have been evaluated for one hour integrity.

The glass is drilled along the upper edge and bushed to take a support bolt and bracket that is attached to a steelwork support frame.

The glass screens are made up from equal panels with minimal expansion gaps between the individual panels.
